MASS BUD Certification
United Retek holds Beneficial Use Determination from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, Department of Environmental Protection.
NJCAT Certification
In November 1998, United Retek was the first company to have their technology certified by the New Jersey DEP as a result of review by the New Jersey Corporation for Advanced Technology. NJCAT is the technology verification review entity partnered with the New Jersey DEP.
NJDEP Certification
In a letter from New Jersey DEP Commissioner (Robert C. Shinn) he states, "The NJCAT verification validates the Retek process as a categorical exemption for beneficial use".
He also goes on to say:
"This means that no further case-by-case site specific beneficial use determination or approval is required as defined in the NJCAT Guidance Document for Remediation of Contaminated Soils."
NY BUD Certification
